“ Been coming here over 30 years. Food is amazing when they actually have some. if you plan on coming here, always have a back up plan. If you’re coming just for the meats, do yourself a favor and don’t prepare sides before you get your meats. On more than one occasion my wife has prepared sides while I attempted to fetch the meats. They have the best smoked chicken around but sadly they are out of it more often than not. ”

“ I have driven by C&J's for years when on vacation, and have always said I needed to try it. Well, this year was the year, and man, am I ever kicking myself for not stopping and trying it sooner! I had the 1/2 lb of pulled pork and 1/2 rack rib combo with a side of coleslaw. When I say the portions were generous, I mean it! The food was excellent, and perfectly smoked. My only complaint is not going sooner and buying more! Make no mistake - this is not a polished, corporate, BBQ joint.......but rather, it's a true traditional BBQ spot that lets the food do the talking instead of a shiny and flashy concession trailer. In my opinion, don't hesitate to stop by when they're open and grab some food to go. You will not be disappointed!!!! ”
“ I'm visiting from Houston and I'm usually very leery of eating BBQ when I'm visiting other places. But boy I'm glad I did this time, now they were sold out of chicken and ribs when I got there, which was a bummer. But made me think that their bbq had to be pretty good. So I ordered a 1/2 pound of pulled pork and some baked beans, and it was super delicious. I love how tender the pork was and the hint of smoke it had. It also had a nice black bark on it. With homemade BBQ sauce, which was very tangy with a hint of sweetness. I also got a side order of baked beans, which were super delicious too. Definitely will be going back next time I'm back in town. ”
“ Was driving by at like 10 am and saw the smoker running. Came back at 1 pm and was not disappointed. Got the chopped pork and ribs meal with the yellow rice and baked beans. All the meat was tender, sauce had a nice little kick but not overpowering, beans had that Smokey flavor, rice had smoked chicken bits in it that took it up a notch. Folks were real nice there too. I watched them help an out of tower who never had BBQ before figure out what they wanted. ”
“ 1/4 white chicken, and I choose macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. It came with two pieces of bread too. It is absolutely delicious! The chicken has an amazing smokey, salty, sweet flavor. I ordered the sauce on the side. Oh my, it is the perfect blend of tangy, smokey sweet. The best coleslaw I've had in a very long time. The Mac and cheese is so yummy too! The staff is so nice and friendly. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the goodies! ”
